The House of the Riga Latvian Society is more than a multi-purpose venue: it's a beautiful piece of Latvian history in itself. Founded in 1868, the Riga Latvian Society is a voluntary, independent, social culture organization, though their house is used for all sorts of purposes. Its grand halls, some looking as if they've been preserved from 1868, can be used for all sorts of functions, from meetings of important dignitaries to jazz concerts to cultural festivals. One of its rooms is even reserved for the society's most important honorary member - the president of Latvia!
