Porcelain Museum

|
It took 30 years to make one of the Porcelain Museum's most treasured possessions, a vase called The Song Festival, which was begun in 1973 but did not receive its finishing touches until 2003.
The vase is just one of almost 7,000 items on display at the museum in Riga. The permanent collection includes pieces from studios and artists from all over the world, and is established as a showcase for the best of Latvian ceramic work from the past and the present.
There are also regular temporary exhibitions, as the museum expands its collections through loans and acquisitions. |
