This celebrated theatre has been enjoying a rich vein of form in 2006, and has travelled to both the 'Carrefour International de Theatre' Festival in Quebec and the Edinburgh International Festival to perform their award-winning play Long Life. Long Life follows the lives of several elderly people living in a communist block in Riga and explores how age-old belongings have become their companions. Incredibly this play is performed without any dialogue! This of course won't come as a surprise to those familiar with the New Riga Theatre, as the young company has built its reputation on innovative and challenging productions.
