The jury's still out on the name, but there's no doubt about the quality of this ubercool boho bar. If you're looking to avoid the trail of destruction left by rampaging stag groups, then the I Love You cafe could prove the perfect venue. Two floors, furnished simply but effectively with wooden chairs, the odd sofa and low lighting, provide a relaxed setting to enjoy a beer and a cheap snack, whilst discussing the merits of obscure Icelandic musicians. All without a drunk Brit in sight. If you name-drop a particularly esoteric band, who knows, maybe one of the cool cats that regularly roam the joint might take you up in conversation...

A funny place - but had a good time. Agree that the staff were positive, which made a change from other places we had visited. I give it 8.

Best we've been to in Riga. Laid back atmosphere, great terrace, cheap prices. Mostly frequented by Latvians not Russians.

We spent half our holiday in this bar; backgammon and Riga balsam. Top dollar!

The Sigur Ros room at the I Love You Bar was fantastic! I went there several times while in Riga - during the day it was a laid back cafe where you could hide with a book, on a weekend night they had DJs and it was pretty packed, but the music was the best in Riga!

Perfectly accessible, but slightly off the tourist track, this is a delightful find. A relaxed atmosphere, very friendly staff, a tasteful smattering of independent music and a table service that invariably leads to you staying longer than you first intended. But happily so. Easily my favourite bar in the city.
