Roxy Club

If you're more into the traditional club scene, where the same drum beat hammers away from the over-cranked subwoofers even if the songs supposedly change, Roxy is it. In its massive 800 square metres are six bars on three floors, with plenty of space both for dancing and lounging on its plush couches. There is a cover charge, but you can pick up a free pass to the club if you're staying at Hostel ProfitCamp. Not the place to go if you'd like to discuss Hemingway over tea - but if you'd like to drink like Hemingway...

Changed 2 or more years ago to Babylon and now its variete show..

So, according to you, tourists going to riga nightclubs deserve to be robbed? If there was a "world stupidity" award to be given, you would definitely deserve it. First, because it's racist, everybody should be allowed to have fun in Riga just like everywhere in Europe as long as they behave, second because, these ******* tourists make your poor economy survive and third, because, if there is a sex tourism in Riga, that's because there is an offer from locals for this kind of services. I was in Riga last year, and the Roxy club was pretty cool - nothing happened to us (probably because we don´t look like the guys you want to mess with...). But we heard from lot´s of others that had problems. So the f**** sex tourists will not come back and spend their money in countries where we will be welcome. Greetings Keith

Been in Roxy for 7 years since i meet my ex-girlfriend there in 2002 - nothing never happend to me (but i never go out in football tshirts) barmen/girls are more helpfull than you think!

Just be CAREFUL and stay OUT of this places in Riga! we also were ripped off by two hookers who took us to a bar called "ZEPHYR". we got to the police but nothing happened !!

BEWARE THIS PLACE! Lots of people have been robbed in Roxy, and in many other clubs in Riga (I think mostly in old town). Personally I wouldn't trust any club anymore. This is just a list of places I know that rip off tourists but I'm sure there's many more: Groks, Roxy, Cigar Bar, Casino 777, Angelica, Barfly, Zephyr, Dolls House, Essential Club, Nobu (sushi place!)

GOOD place for relaxing and dance... Barlady downstairs are very good, i love this place

stay well clear of this place. it has got dodgy written all over it. 3 of us went in to dance ended up getting our drinks spiked and robbed of all our money.
please do not go in this place.

The Music is very random and repeating day by day. Mainly Vocal House, Pop Bootlegs and some R'n'B tracks thrown in.
The resident DJs don't care that much about mixing and guiding the crowd.
Though people have the choice between 3 floors with different styles.
But if you expect a filled dancefloor, you're wrong. Most people keep sitting in the comfortable couches and just watch. At least the Roxy has some dancers, who run the 2 cages on the mainfloor. So all in all a disco for everybody, except demanding dancers, who care about music and atmosphere.
