"We visited Kiploku Krogs after finding it in internet - and it was great. Antipasti are super, steak was just as it has to be, people (bedienung - do not know the english word)were very nice. Exotic things like garlic ice cream!!! I can advise this restaurant to everybody, you will not be disappointed."

"Dear VN DALMIA!!! How on earth small place like Latvia could be experts in Indian food, do you have any Latvian restaurants in India, besides Indian cuisine is very regional and very different( i know, iam food stylist in london).Just because you are fladding United Kingdom express speed doesnt give you rights to put small place down, give a chance!!!!!!!!!!"

"Good meat. But.. the potatoes and vegatabiles was a disaster. 5 people about 50 LVL for one course and a bear for each. "

"Give me a break. This place doesn't know its Indian food from its African. They have a small time cook which they've pulled out from a small town in a small hill state in Northern India. The guy can't make Chicken Tikka to satisfy the most undiscerning Britisher (let alone an Indian). He can't do a decent Paneer dish (he coats the Paneer with batter and then fries the batter!). He doesn't know the difference between a Nan and a Tandoori Roti-he makes both with the same flour. The only reason this restaurant survives is that people in Riga don't know better. "

"I was at Dada's with 4 friends on 18th June from 8pm to 10.30pm. They had a special offer - from 6-10pm workd ays 2 bowls for the price of 1 - so we all took advantage of it. They did not have the sauces we all wanted so chose the only ones from the big list - tomato and basil and coconut and curry. Was served by a charming nice lady "Una" and took our driks orders. the bowls are small, but if organise the raw food into the bowl, can make a good high pile! I liked the array of choices. I was worried to see the cook swiped his nose with a cloth and then use that cloth to clean the frying area (to fry the food and the sauce on it). After eating the 2 nice bowls of food, one bowl was still left from my friends girlfriend, so we filled it and asked the cook to have it in half - he was kind to do it - a new waitress - "botox face" waitress - blond and looked angry to serve us, jsut dumped the bowls on the table away from me, without bothering to ask who it was for - also the food was in bowls, not on a plate as the other waitress nicely did with smile and politely. This waitress i called her she came back angrilty adn not smiling as if it was big trouble for her, and told her i need my food in my plate, if it was not much trouble , she did not talk, no eye contact no feel she was happy, more angry and went to get a plate and came back and dumped the plate and went..i called her that i wanted my food in the plate..she looked angrily at me and took my plate and bowl of food to the back (my friends think she spat in my food!), and again not talking just dumped the food on my table, with no "enjoy your meal", "here you go" just as she was very upset. It was terrible to ruin a nice evening like that. I told the manangeress, when leaving, she should teach her waitress to smile and be polite. Not sure if she really was interested - but left a good tip and told them to give that to "Una" the nice waitress. I have been to Dada's a few times this year and this was my worst experience. I know my 3 of 4 friends present, do not plan to go back to Dada's with such attitude and fear that waitress will be trouble. My friend was saying when we were putting the food into our bowl, she was looking at us in strange way not happily at us. Is this how Dada's waitress are to foreigners who are living in Latvia? I am 50-50 if to go back to Dada's. I love to hear what is Dada's managemnt have to say about this terrible incident. From Tony (UK)"

"Totally redecorated, (too) stylish interior. Too many option on the card. And, since when can you have fish in a vegetarian menu? "Spicy Indian Menu" was more like a potato soup. Quite high prices: 5 Lats (= 7 Euro) for a soup. "

"We were out at Nobody Writes to the Colonel and hadn't, since we had flown in that afternoon, had any dinner (and birthday cake didn't quite cut it)... now we were starving, which always boosts the rating up a little, but for both convenience and being open after midnight on that weekend night, this place is getting a 4/5. The only things we weren't so impressed by (despite being glad the menu was in English) were the crazy slow service (they were NOT full by a long shot-it was December and ppl were clubbing!) and the price seemed pretty high for not getting a whole lot of food compared to the other places in town we ate. Still, the food was good at 12:30am and gave us the fuel we needed to get through the night and also get back to our hostel and crash!"

"We went here and... wow, what a huge amount of food for next to nothing. That said, we (an American and a Finn) were overwhelmed a bit from the sheer amount of salt in the food and couldn't finish it (which made us sad in a way, because it was pretty well-prepared, just... with too much salt!) Backpackers will definitely appreciate the value pricing overall, since there are other spots around that certainly *don't* allow such a large portion for such a small price! We were able to easily share a plate with the way they piled it up."
