Kamala website

This little restaurant defies genres - is it Indian? Is it vegetarian? Must the world be so black and white? Kamala's cuisine is completely vegetarian, and they also offer vegan choices, but you have to ask the friendly waitstaff to specify the vegan dishes (or they'll modify the vegetarian dishes for you as well). The interior is definitely Indian, with scattered pillows and a depiction of the wife of Vishnu on one wall. While the service might take a while, perhaps it's part of the atmosphere - so let the surroundings and the smell of incense relax you, as this is a place you could comfortably spend a few hours in.

Kamala

Totally redecorated, (too) stylish interior.
Too many option on the card. And, since when can you have fish in a vegetarian menu?
"Spicy Indian Menu" was more like a potato soup.
Quite high prices: 5 Lats (= 7 Euro) for a soup.

They have a menu on their website but you shouldn't believe it. The prices are 50% of the real ones. We had one salad for starters and shared it, two main courses and one dessert that we also shared. The total cost was about 27 lats.

Also, the restaurant is not very Indian. They do serve Indian food but also polenta, Greek salad etc. The menu is HUGE. It should really be narrowed down to the maybe 50 tastiest dishes.
