Traktieris

Located in the Art Nouveau District, perhaps its location keeps Traktieris authentic. Though the occasional tourists wander in, for the most part the clientele is Russian-speaking. The portions are also Russian-sized at affordable prices, so if you're hungry order an almond-crusted pork or perhaps a chicken steak in golden sauce, or if you're feeling more peckish try the buffet next door. For a proper Russian experience, be sure to wash down your meal with one (or three) of the many flavoured vodkas available.

Lovely food and very good value. The pickled mushrooms are wonderful, and the rabbit with sour cream and dill was so silky I could have wept for sheer delight. Come early if you want to avoid loud drunken singing.
