Kiploku Krogs

Kiploku Krogs aptly translates to "Garlic Bar," which is quite a literal description. Everything on their menu has garlic - from the garlic and salmon soup, to steak with garlic sauce, all of course served with garlic bread with extra garlic dipping sauce. Dessert? Garlic ice cream covered in garlic sauce is a lot better than it sounds. Then, of course wash it all down with garlic vodka. Garliced out? Luckily the parsley sprigs with the bill will improve your breath, and your chances of getting kissed ever again.

"We visited Kiploku Krogs after finding it in internet - and it was great. Antipasti are super, steak was just as it has to be, people (bedienung - do not know the english word)were very nice. Exotic things like garlic ice cream!!! I can advise this restaurant to everybody, you will not be disappointed."

"Good meat. But.. the potatoes and vegatabiles was a disaster. 5 people about 50 LVL for one course and a bear for each. "

"Small venue which adds to the atmosphere. Good choice on the menu and friendly, helpful staff. We had gone in for a lunch, but portions were so big, no dinner was required later! Fillet steak cooked to perfection. As you would imagine, very heavy on the garlic, which only adds to an original idea. Food cooked well and presented well. Reasonable prices: 2 beers, 2 starters, 2 mains: 27 Lats. We were only in Riga for a few days, so did not return, but when I do I will certainly re-visit here. Kenny "
