Named after Van Gogh, the minimalist decor of Vincents conjures up the geometric shapes of Mondrian more than the vibrant colour of the celebrated Dutch master. But if that is a quibble (which we're not sure it is) then it's the only one we've got with this outstanding restaurant on Elizabetes street. Martins Ritins is the man responsible for the menu, and the celebrated British-Latvian chef has received bundles of praise for his cuisine, which uses organically grown local produce and changes to suit the season. You can take it on trust from us that this place is phenomenal, or why not give George Bush, Elton John or bonnie Prince Charlie a call and see what they thought?
