Riga's only Jewish restaurant popular with tourists as well as locals, Shalom offers a variety of traditional dishes, though not all of them are kosher (be sure to ask the waitstaff if that's your dietary requirement). You'll see the neon Star of David on the outside before being welcomed into the small mostly light blue establishment. Dishes include stuffed mushroom, carp fillet, red borsch and eggplant, and for something on the sweet side, try their honey cake and Jewish baklava for dessert. |
