Salve

Over the centuries, Riga has had many visitors - some welcome, bearing gifts and new ideas, some less so, bearing arms. The city's coastal location means that it has been ideally placed to soak up the flavours of the northern half of Europe and has over time come up with a taste all of its own. That is the essence of Salve, a restaurant that has managed to keep prices competitive despite its location in the heart of the Latvian capital's old town. It's good value for money too, as the food and service are geared to pleasing diners and eliciting promises of return visits - something which most are only too happy to do.
