Dzirnavas

|
If you miss the feel of your old school cafeteria, this might be as close of a replacement as you can get, though with much better food. Just as crowded and occasionally pushy as a schoolyard, the Dzirnavas ("Windmill" in Latvian) serves Latvian country specialties in big steaming piles from the enormous buffet, while the rustic decor is a mix between barnyard chic and alehouse clichés. The local beer on tap is definitely not to be missed. The biggest danger here is ending up with enough food to feed the Latvian army on your tray. |
