Alcohol Prices Go Up
Bad news. The economic crises got to Latvia and is influencing prices of alcohol. According to some surveys, sales and production are falling (faster than expected!) while prices are rising. The fact that the government announced a new, exise tax on such beverages and tobacco is clearly not helping the struggling producers. It's all for the best - they say the raise is supposed to bring LVL 11.8 million to the state budget.
