One of the Baltic's biggest aquaparks, a trip to the Livu is an afternoon well-spent for anyone seriously addicted to splashing around. A decent range of chutes, that vary from white knuckle rides to something for grandma, are complimented by attractions such as 'The Orinoco River', 'Caribbean Wave Pool' and 'Captain Kids Land'. Meanwhile those that prefer the quiet life can relax in the Shark Attack Zone (...excuse the apparent paradox), where you can order a sturdy cocktail without even leaving the pool. Plus jacuzzis, hydro massage beds, and Turkish saunas will appeal to people of the same bent. Find the aquapark at Lielupe in Jurmala, just outside Riga.
