Central Hostel reviewed by iatz from France on Jan.18.2010 | "Well this is definitely one of the best hostels I've ever stayed at. Extremely nice staff, quite laid-back but clean and comfortable at the same time, a nice small place downstairs to hang out with fellow travellers, roomy dorms .... i would definitely recommend it to anyone without thinking twice. If only i had to mention something, i would say that it is not exactyl downtown, but still, it's an easy 10 minute walk to the center and even less to the train station. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!"

Hotel Riga reviewed by Richard Ballard from United States on May.26.2009 | "The Hotel Riga is Great! The staff are wonderful and helpful. The people are Riga were so friendly and helpful. After reading several negative reviews, I did not know what to expect. I would go back to the Hotel Riga anytime. I had a beautiful room with excellent bathroom facilities. The breakfast buffet was incredible. Riga rocks!"

Friendly Fun Franks reviewed by Gustav from Sweden on Mar.16.2009 | "I don't understand what Garikoitz is talking about - the rooms are clean, and of course they're shared rooms, it's a hostel! If you want posh private rooms go to a hotel, but at hostel you get what yuo pay for! Here the people were nice, and the only bad people were drunk guests, but that is normal at hostels too."
Argonaut Hostel reviewed by Mo from United States on Mar.11.2009 | "Nice rooms and friendly people, had a good time in Riga (but stay away from the strip clubs and seedy-looking places!)"
Riga Hostel reviewed by Laura from United States on Nov.25.2008 | "My best friend and I stayed for 4 nights at Riga Hostel at Marstalu 12 in Old Riga (the website on here is NOT the Riga Hostel they are talking of--the site is for ALA which is really far away from there and more costly!). It was simply AWESOME. There's a picture widely spread of a party around a table--that was the birthday of Christine, an employee there that we'd contacted about helping us around town (she was HAPPY to, despite it being her 20th b-day!)... well, we stayed there, first being offered the top floor (the quietest one, private, too) then taking a 2nd or 3rd floor dormitory style room (because I'd been in a mountain climbing accident and couldn't yet handle 6 flights of stairs). It was comfy, safe, secure (our luggage was locked up, and we had no bad vibes about the place--people of solid character running it)... anyway, they let us be part of the birthday party then even took us to the club they celebrated at, getting us in for free! It was nothing short of awesome--they really want to let their guests have whatever kind of fun they're into, and they told us all about the stuff to do around town. It was also really cool that they had this bench on the stairs that was for staff member catnaps so that they could all basically live there and have 1 active, 1 resting staff through the less busy hours. Like I said, make sure the one you check into is at 12 Marstelu if you want to go where I did... the rates were astonishingly low (8 euros a night per bed) and there was an abundance of tea, coffee, etc... What's more, a total stranger who worked there offered to get us anything we needed from the store... I needed milk, and she brought it to me! She actually didn't even take my money when I paid her back, so you can imagine they got a very very nice tip when we left. I missed them so much--if I'd known Riga was so fun, I would definitely have stayed there a whole week, even though it was winter--it was such a wonderful place, and December didn't even feel very cold! Seriously, they were fantastic. I hope they are still as wonderful as when I was there so that the whole world (literally) can experience this fun, hip place to comfortably get your zs before seeing the beautiful old town (which to me was the greatest place to be in Riga!)"
Friendly Fun Franks reviewed by Leon from United Kingdom on Sep.12.2008 | "I spent a weekend at Franks and wished I could stay for longer. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always available to offer tips on where to party. Definitely don't stay here if you are looking for somewhere quiet. I mean, if you are looking for somewhere quiet why not stay at home?"
Baltic Beach Hotel reviewed by Mette from Norway on May.13.2008 | "We were 6 ladies that went to Baltic hotel to get SPA treatment, the service there was terrible, some of us did not get the treatment we were suppose to get, and i order 1,5 hours massage but got 1 hour only. Every time we asked them something, the answered with a very bad attitude. They did not give us any information if we did not ask them, and every time we asked for information they looked at us like we must have been the most stupid people there."

Konventa Seta reviewed by Soren from Denmark on Aug.07.2007 | "Nice and perfect place in central Old Town (Vecriga) - nice rooms and good service.

Hotel Riga reviewed by Soren from Denmark on Aug.07.2007 | "Hotel is old fashion style hotel but ok place to stay for bussiness or vacation - enjoy the large barlounge with beautifull decorations that takes you a half century back in time..
Some room are small and old..but they are being renovated - you cant find more central place to stay to a resonable price"
Hotel Bergs reviewed by Dagny from Australia on Jul.17.2007 | "Very nice! Really one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in, spent a weekend here and couldn't be happier. Bergs is a luxury place with a lot of nice features - most we never used like the DVD player, because there's too much to see in Riga in one weekend!"
Grand Palace Hotel reviewed by Ania from Poland on Jul.17.2007 | "Beautiful hotel, gret service friendly staff. A little expensive but if you want it you get what you pay for and Grand is definitely worth some more money for nice place."

Hostel ProfitCamp reviewed by Alex from Germany on May.08.2007 | "No doubt the ProfitCamp is good located. However it's really noisy cause of the guests who drink a lot.
There's also no common room, just some couches in each floor, which are pretty fast overcrowded.
The staff was quite unfriendly to non-latvian/russian guests.
All in all just a decent hostel."
Friendly Fun Franks reviewed by dj silence from Poland on May.07.2007 | "really friendly indeed - definitely a party atmosphere here, not for the early-to-bed crowd. but if you like a good time and like meeting cool people frank's is the best hostel in town!"
Garden Palace Hotel reviewed by Elina from Poland on Mar.23.2007 | "We stayed in the suite room with a view over the old town of city. It was amazing. There is a sauna and jacuzzi as well."
Hostel ProfitCamp reviewed by Colin from United Kingdom on Mar.22.2007 | "your profitcamp description is somewhat inaccurate. it seems very expensive when you consider it is one of the noisiest places i've ever stayed. i feel you should warn potential customers that the staff are young and inexperienced and have no control over the noise levels of the guests and no apparent sanctions to take to reduce the noise. if you're not off your head on drugs then find somewhere else to stay"
