Hotel Ekes Konvents is located in the very heart of the Old Town and occupies three stories of the house where Riga's first guest house for visitors to the city opened in 1435. The small size of the hotel gives it a homey feel, almost taking you back a few centuries. Each of the eleven cosy rooms have been ornately restored, incorporating furniture crafted according to ancient examples, historical etchings and traditional hand-woven blankets. Each room also has its own toilet facilities, and you can choose from a small or standard room, both at very reasonable rates.
