Karavella

Hotels really do not come much newer than this - the Karavella has been welcoming guests to the bank of the Daugava river since early July 2011. Don't take such youth as a sign of naivety, though; the hotel offers 76 rooms, all equipped with air-conditioning, digital satellite TV and wi-fi. There is a cafe and bar for light refreshments, and a restaurant on the 12th floor which offers some of the best views across Riga and the river. Guests park for free, while business customers can arrive certain that all the facilities they need - from conference rooms for up to 40 to a lounge and terrace - will be available on site.
