If you want to waste as little time as possible traveling to and from Riga's attractions, it's difficult to get much closer than the Doma Hostel.
It is right next door to the city's famous Doma Cathedral, and just a few minutes walk from various bars and restaurants offering a real taste of Latvia.
But don't let the old-worlde atmosphere fool you - as far as hostel's go, these guys are right up there with any comparable establishment in terms of making guests feel comfortable and welcome. There are free maps and guides available, and staff keep a noticeboard updated with the latest local events. There is free internet, either via the hostel's computer or your laptop through wi-fi, and there is no extra charge for towels or bed linen. Doma even has a small kitchen where you can prepare your own meals if your budget will not stretch to dining out every day.
Add to this list a 24-hour reception service with no curfew, satellite TV, free tea and coffee and luggage storage... and it's difficult to think of a reason just why not. |
