The Blue Cow

Apparently, blue cows used to come up from the sea to graze the countryside around Riga in the early mornings - hence the name of this hostel. Not sure you believe this? Well, why not? You're on holiday, relax, and try not to let the facts get in the way of a good story. And relaxation is the key to enjoying a stay at the Blue Cow. It is unashamedly not a party hostel, and guests are expected to behave themselves. That's not to say that you won't be guaranteed a warm welcome, but with space for just 16 it's understandable why the hostel can't accommodate larger groups and stag parties. All guests are free to use the hostel and facilities as if they were at home, and to take advantage of the free internet and printing service. Definitely worth a look if you're more interested in seeing Riga than in drinking the city dry.
